Turkiye

Turkiye is a cost-effective destination for international productions and has attracted some of the biggest names in cinema.

Filming in Turkiye

It’s a fact: Turkiye is one of the most ideal countries for cost-effective production. With the recent drop in currency, international productions, including those from Hollywood, have capitalised on the excellent opportunities available here. Guy Ritchie’s ‘Operation Fortune: Rose de Guerre’ was shot in the beautiful Antalya and the capital Ankara, while Ron Howard’s ‘Inferno’ and Don Michael Paul’s ‘Sniper Ghost Shooter’ are also prime examples of Turkey’s attraction to the biggest names in cinema.

Turkiye is an open studio for the film industry and not just in the famous junction between East and West, the irresistible Istanbul. Explore cities like Cappadocia with its unbelievable natural beauties, our Aegean region with picturesque white houses, and the Antalya Patara desert, which has played host to many films and advertising (both today and in the past).

Climate

Turkiye is a country of all climates. This is as a result of both its geographical location as well as distinctive geographical characteristics. Surrounded by sea on three sides, most of its surface area is rough and mountainous, while there are great climate differences between inland and coastal regions: in the Western and Southern coastal regions, a Mediterranean climate is dominant and in winter rainfall in these regions is low. However, in regions with higher altitudes, colder winter seasons are experienced compared to other Mediterranean countries.
